This is a roadmap for The Fox theme development we made public so you can watch and see changes we already made and plans ahead.
First of all, if you have updated the theme from v5.x, we apologize for some minor bugs you might encountered. The Fox 6 is a big update with new core engine which is faster and extensible. The Fox has been developed since 2015. After many years, its core still functions well but has reached to its limit and very difficult to add more features.
Also, It's slow for modern standards (Core Web Vitals) and the only way we can improve it is to build a faster theme engine. During that process, we have to replace old parts/functionalities by new ones or sunset it if It affects theme performance.
From now on, you'll see several updates 6.0.x with minor bugs fixed or v5.x features recovered. While the new version 6.x Core is totally different from v5 Core (like Edge vs IE), some functionalities you used to have from v5.x are not reserved in v6.x. We estimate until v6.1, you'll be able to access a stable Fox version with almost v5.x features being recovered.
We're working as quickly as possible to provide a stable Fox v6.x version. Please bear with us.
